Andrea Ondish

Curator of Education at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum and Adjunct Faculty at Saginaw Valley State University

Biography

Born in Scranton, PA. Ondish received an AAS from Luzerne County Community College for Commercial Art-Graphic Design in 1980 and a BFA from Marywood University in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Illustration in 1985.

After receiving her BFA degree she relocated to Illinois and earned a MA degree from Eastern Illinois University in Painting and Printmaking in 1986. She worked as a graphic designer for 3 years at a printing firm in Illinois and then moved to Indiana in 1989 to pursue an MFA at Indiana State University in printmaking graduating in 1992.

She has worked and taught at the Swope Art Museum as Programs and Exhibitions Coordinator, the Indianapolis Art Center as screen print instructor, and Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum at Saginaw Valley State University as Curator of Education and adjunct faculty. She paints, draws, sculpts and makes prints. Her work has been exhibited all over the US and in Canada and Slovakia.  

She is a founding member of INprint, a central Indiana print group since 1998. INprint is comprised of professional and amateur printmakers mainly from the central Indiana area.

She is currently working on a drawing and painting series.
